Vargas Art Projects will be featuring painting, printmaking, light art, paper mache, sculpture, and risographs by artists Santa Fe Zubia, Shaunna Foster, William Estrada, and Angel Cabrales.

Saturday, February 8 at 3pm: Shaunna Foster demonstration of sign painting process

Saturday, February 15 drop in 1-3pm: William Estrada - interactive stamping/printmaking (Workshop entitled “Messages of Hope & Love; Postcards for Our Community” consists of making postcards with messages of hope and love for a stranger. Receive postage upon completion of the postcard, then mail it. You decide if you want to be anonymous.)
Sunday, February 16 drop in 12-4pm: Santa Fe Zubia - make your own paper mache plant pot
Sunday, February 16 drop in 1-4pm: Angel Cabrales - will teach you how to play the game Patolli (that he made) and he invites you to play with him

LISTEN TO THE RADIO INTERVIEW: Cecilia L. Vargas joined Karen Conley (President of ArtForms) to talk about the month-long ArtForms’ For The Love Of Art event on the radio show Café con Leche with Greg Smith on KTAL 101.5fm (sponsored by Penny Peace and George Ivolin of Mad Hatter Gallery).


William Estrada will be presenting his community arts practice this Friday, February 14th! If you’re in the El Paso area, please come and hang out.

The presentation will be held from 2-4pm at the UTEP Fox Fine Arts Building, room 463 (500 W. University Ave., room 463, El Paso, TX 79968). Please share with anyone you think might be interested in hearing about his work.

The artwork in “Cawing”…Transformative Power focuses on Robin Przybysz’s fascination with crows (her ‘spirit animal’), bones, and their symbolic meanings. Przybysz’s contemporary fiber art studio practice consists of wrapping, coiling, and stitching her materials into a continuous line contour of sculptural forms. Visit to learn more about the artist's influences and approaches.

Acquisition Unveiling

Cecilia L. Vargas invites you to the unveiling of recent acquisitions to her art collection. There will be information about her influences, and about her entrepreneurial endeavors. Light refreshments will be provided.

Parking is available across the street from Chala's. The map originally provided gives two routes to travel from the parking area to the destination location.
